Let the Indianapolis 500 Begin!

If you live in Indianapolis, you may have been to one of the events leading up to the Indy 500 or have went to the Indy 500 at some point in your life. This is the greatest spectacle in racing and brings our city a lot of travelers throughout the month of May. This year is the running of the 101st race, which is held on May 28th and presented by PennGrande Motor Oil. The greatest drivers in racing will be flying at insane speeds around the track, to fight for the title of winner of the 2017 Indianapolis 500.

This weekend there are a lot of great events going on, if you are looking to be a part of the action. Miller Lite Carb day is on May 26 at the speedway. Start off the long weekend, watching the final Indy 500 practice, Indy Lights racing and the Tag Heuer Pit Stop Challenge. Then finish up the day watching the Carb day concert, which features Steve Miller Band and Barenaked Ladies.

Saturday is Legends Day presented by Firestone. With the lots opening at 7:00, this is an all day event that features a kids zone, an autograph session with the legends themselves, historic race care laps. Then the music starts at the end of the day featuring Clayton Anderson, Dustin Lynch and ending with Keith Urban.

The biggest event of the year for the city of Indianapolis is on Sunday, with lots opening at 5:00 a.m. The Indianapolis 500 starts at 12:19, with the famous “Drivers Start Your Engines” at 12:14. The morning has a lot of festivities that you can enjoy, such as a kids zone, Borg Warner Trophy march, winning driver laps, military march, snake pit, music and much more. Overall, this should be a pretty exciting weekend and race.

There is so much to do around the speedway this time of year and as an Indianapolis Vehicle Wrap company, it is always a great time to see all of the cars and the custom wraps that are on each car. We know the strong attention to detail, time and skill it takes to wrap all types of vehicles. Being in the wrap industry for over 25 years, we have wrapped everything from cars, indy, motorsports, boat, box trucks, buses/rv’s, suv’s, semi trucks, trailer, truck and vans.

We have also had the pleasure of wrapping the Cadillac racecar, which will be run by Wayne Taylor Racing. We kept this project underwraps for quite sometime so the design would not be leaked to other manufacturers. Our very own Jason Burgess designed a unique, camouflage wrap to make it look like at certain views the body of the car has ducts and louvres. This stunning design was one of the most exciting projects we have worked on. It was a great honor to work with Cadillac and produce this wrap for the Wayne Taylor Racing.

Another project we were extremely proud to work on was the Wish For Heroes. Shadow Graphix, designed a custom military inspired wrap on a Lamborghini Huracan LP620-2. This car was featured at , the Ramapo Concour on the Campus of Ramapo College and the US Military Academy’s Thayer Hotel. The Lamborghini Huracan LP620-raced at the Lamborghini Super Trofeo race, which is in honor of the troops.

As you can see we love to work with others in the community and throughout the US.  If you are in need of a vehicle wrap and want to work with a company who takes pride in their city and has over 20 years experience, feel free to contact us today!

We will leave you with this, Who do you think will be the winner of the Indy 500? Let the excitement of race weekend begin!
